40 Hours and Counting…

Alright, I made it!  Flew for 13 hours, been awake for 40 and I am beat.

I have never traveled internationally by myself before.  It was a strange experience lonely, yet liberating.  But the whole team has arrived.  Or at least I think they have.  The last straggler, who had a  heck of time making her connection in Mexico City is on her way to the Hotel as I type this.

Side note:  Mexico City is one of the the craziest airport I have had to deal with, second only to Libreville, Gabon.

Anyway, I got to meet the Healing Waters staff for Mexico this evening and was treated to a dinner from street taco stand.  Hands down – THE BEST TACOS IN THE WORLD.  No, seriously, the staff is awesome.  They are very sincere and all have genuine hearts to serve.  Its humbling to be around people who are so self sacrificial.  I am sure tomorrow will be even more mmmmm, what’s the word I am looking for?  I don’t know, sleep deprivation will do that to you.

As for prayer…  The previous requests stand and I would like to add one..

  • Please pray that I sleep well and have the energy to work at the Casa Hogar orphanage tomorrow.

  • That the team made it in safely and we all successfully navigated the chaos that is Benito Juarez Mexico City International Airport.
  • That the team seems to get along well.
  • That God would be so gracious as to give me this opportunity.

And finally for your viewing pleasure:
